Many students come to 奥古斯塔 Tech already having earned college credit from other institutions. Others have demonstrated their mastery of skills through years of military service, 在职经验, standardized tests and more. Prior Learning Assessment Credit
PLA is not “giving away credit” based on a cursory examination of a student’s resume. PLA involves evaluation of the learning that a student has and determining the equivalence of that learning to learning outcomes in college coursework. The amount of credit students can earn for their prior learning can be determined through several different types of assessments.

Earn credit with a standardized exam or 奥古斯塔 Tech exam. |
Receive credit for non-college educational experiences and training in the military. |
Acquire credit for non-college training. |
Earn credit with a standardized certification or licensure. |
Obtain credit for non-college activities by demonstrating college-level learning. |
